At Zero BS, we go to great lengths to ensure that not only are all our ingredients locally sourced, but that we have a relationship with most of our farmers/ suppliers.  Be it our Tallow, our Essential Oils, our Bees wax, or our Olive oil.  We believe that ingredients for skincare should be manufactured in a kitchen, rather than in a laboratory.  Hence we consider our product range as skin and hair food. 
 
Our Zero BS philosophy believes in a back to basics approach to skincare. We’ve created a holistic skincare range that combines ancient skin remedies (provided by nature) with modern science (now clinically proven) to show how this union of science and nature can deliver much more promising results. We believe that if a product is not safe enough to ingest you should not be putting it on your skin.  Unlike the majority of products on the market that are, at best, a chemical soup that sits on the skin surface collecting dust, or at worst a chemical soup that is being absorbed by your skin, all of our ingredients are food sourced and food grade. Yes, safe enough to eat!
 
If you are at all concerned about what you use on your body, we recommend taking a deep dive into the product offerings on the market.   Petroleum by-products, water-based products and seed oils that use chemical extractions and bleaches to wash or deodorise the oils used.   Even the so called “natural” botanical products need preservatives to keep them from going rancid and to keep out bacterial growth. Whenever you have a water-based product (Aqua) or Aqueous Cream you need a chemical preservative to prevent bacterial growth.  Some clever companies use vitamins and antioxidant as preservatives. But one needs to be ahead of clever marketeers.  Not all vitamins or antioxidant are created equal.  Most are manufactured in laboratories, synthesised from petrochemicals. Vitamins E, A, D, and C can all be made in the lab from petroleum and can all call themselves vitamins and antioxidants (BHT).   Our natural free range animal fat, free from antibiotics or hormones, is the closest molecular match to our own skins’ natural oils and constitutes a highly active natural anti-antioxidant that guarantees our product a three-year shelf life with no added preservatives.  These clinically proven, highly active antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties come directly from our natural food-based ingredients and make Zero BS a not-your-common-garden-variety cosmetic but a powerful therapeutic.  We have the anecdotal evidence and the science to prove it.
